Good morning all. Who ordered the rain as it's a very wet morning for us out there and this is slowly transferring to the East of the county in a cool North-Westerly wind with brighter skies following in behind. We should see these gradual improvements as we move through the afternoon as the rain becomes lighter and more patchy and sunny spells should develop for many late afternoon. A cooler day with highs today of 11°C.
The winds shall fall light during the evening and skies will become clear leaving us with a chilly feel with lows of 3°C.
For Wednesday we have a much better day in store with a sunny start though turning more hazy as the day continues. The afternoon still remains bright and dry with highs of 14°C.
Wednesday evening through into Thursday morning sees little change. A mostly clear night to come before cloud increases from the West. Light winds but another chilly one to come with lows of 4°C.

A beautiful morning across the county and with those light winds it is feeling warm. As we go through today we shall see a few clouds appear but generally speaking it's a mostly sunny day with highs of 16°C in light winds.
Sunday evening into Monday morning shall again, be clear overall with a few clouds around so a dry night for all. Lows of 5°C.
For Monday we should just be hanging onto the last of the weekends sunshine before an occluded front pushes into the county bringing and light rain into the afternoon. Some sunnier spells possible into late evening for the North West of Kent as the front clears. Breezy and feeling cooler with highs of 11-12°C.
Monday evening through into Tuesday should be mostly dry with a few light scattered showers lingering. Lows of 5°C again.

For many of us this morning we have awoken to a rarity. Clear, sunny skies and no rain. But will it last? Yes it shall, for now.
Little changes for today although cloud is increasing leaving us with sunny spells during the afternoon. The persistent breeze shall turn lighter and once you are out of the wind it's going to feel warm in the sunshine with highs of 16-17°C.
For this evening and through tonight a layer of thin cloud over the county will continue to thin leaving us with a cool night, lows of 6°C in a light Northerly/North Westerly breeze.
So Saturday another beautiful looking day to come with plenty of clear skies although a little cloud during the afternoon. Not a massive problem though as we should still be seeing plenty of sunshine with highs of 15-16°C in light winds.
Saturday evening through into Sunday morning has clear skies with another cool, even cold feeling night to come with lows of 2-3°C.

Good morning all. Overcast, damp and dreary by the looks of things so far which is likely to be the order of the day. It should remain dry for the most part though by afternoon we can expect to see some rain arriving from the South West. The Eastern side of the county may just be able to stay dry until evening. Highs today of 15°C in a South Westerly breeze.
This evening rain shall continue to push across the county turning heavy from midnight and lasting through until morning. A mild and quite windy night with lows of 12°C.
For Thursday rain will clear away East during the morning leaving a mostly overcast day I suspect with a few showers/drizzle by the afternoon. A mild even muggy feel to the day out of the wind with all the moisture around from overnight rain. Temperatures of 17°C.
Thursday evening into Friday morning should see the showers slowly fade and die out, remaining breezy with lows of 10°C.

Quite a sunny morning out there for many of us though during the afternoon more cloud is expected. Would still expect a few glimpses of sunshine before scattered showers and light rain appear mid-late afternoon. Light winds from the South with highs of 13°C.
This evening sees the rain clearing North-East although one or two showers may still linger through the night. Lows of 10°C.
For Tuesday we are back to our similar routine of an overcast morning becoming progressively wetter as the day continues with rain arriving late morning and lasting for much of the day as it slowly moves North-East. This does mean sunny spells should begin to move in from the West so not a totally bad day for a lucky few. Highs of 14°C.
A mostly clear evening for many but we see cloud moving in once again though it should stay mostly dry with the odd shower possible. Lows of 8°C.

Once again it's another dull, dreary day with rain this morning slowly tapering off but still leaving a few showers scattered about the county thanks to a few weather fronts lurking over or close by Kent. This gives a cool, even chilly feel to the day with highs of 8°C in a light North Easterly breeze.
For this evening and overnight very little changes with further overcast skies and rain. Turning windy for a time also with lows of 4-5°C. A greatly missed opportunity to see the 'supermoon' tonight sadly.
For Sunday further rain around the Northern coasts of Kent during the morning but a damp start for many. Some brightness will briefly sneak into the South-Eastern fringes of the county for a time. Heading towards the evening the brightness looks to creep in towards the Western side of the county but that really is the best we can hope for. The afternoon should at least turn slightly drier with highs of 10-11°C in a light North-Easterly breeze.
We are looking at a much drier night to come although still overcast with light winds with lows of 5°C.
Looking ahead out to Wednesday there is not much change with fronts still pretty close by keeping a cloudy/damp theme and I shall keep you updated as we continue.

A damp, overcast and miserable morning I'm afraid with sadly very little changing in the forecast for today. A few further light showers are possible with light and variable winds. Feeling cool with highs of just 10°C.
This evening and overnight sees further light, scattered showers possible leaving us with a misty/murky night in light winds and lows of 8°C.
For Friday we're stuck with further cloud and still the odd light shower dotted about. The only saving grace for those on the South-East and East facing coasts is that some brightness is likely here. Similiar temperatures as Thursday, maybe a degree or so higher with 11°C with a light North-Easterly breeze.
Friday evening into Saturday morning and it's remaining overcast with further showers / light rain and turning more windy then of late. A cooler night to come with lows of 6°C.

Good morning all. For some of the county quite an active night with the arrival of a night time thunderstorm but this cleared away and has taken the rain with it to leave us with a damp and generally overcast morning. The fringes of the county are seeing some brightness with the odd glimpse of sunshine and that does look to be the way the day shall continue.
It shall be another warm feeling day, more so where you can catch the sunshine longest with highs of 17°C again across parts of the county in light winds.
For this evening and overnight it shall become overcast as a weak front lurks close by with just a few light scattered showers possible where cloud is at its thickest with some mist but temperatures are not a concern with 8°C the low for the night.
For Wednesday the same front is keeping the day overcast, again with a few light and scattered showers possible but a slightly cooler day in the light Northerly breeze with highs of 14-15°C.
For Wednesday evening and through into Thursday morning there is a chance of seeing some more rain moving in for the Northern half of Kent but will need to be reviewed closer to the time. Lows of 8°C in light winds.

Sunday, April 29 2012
It's a very wet morning out there after a miserable night for those unfortunate enough to be out in the midst of it all. But there is some good news. Radar is showing that we are seeing drier conditions now pushing into South-Eastern areas of the county and behind that, skies are clearing.
This is being represented nicely on the forecast data which shows that for the remainder of this morning rain will affect many parts but will become drier and brighter from the South-East and I'm confident that we all should be seeing some sunshine by later this afternoon. We shall be stuck with a strong breeze from a Southerly direction and when coupled with any sunshine we can indulge ourselves with, highs of 12-13°C for many can be expected with perhaps even a degree or so higher in the North East of Kent where sunshine would be expected to remain longest.
This evening and overnight is a massive change in just 24 hours. Clear skies, lighter winds and lows of 7°C. Such a contrast.
So the new working week. A gorgeous start to the day with plenty of sunshine but as we go through the day we see a warm front over the near continent start spreading cloud over Kent into the afternoon. Generally we shall remain dry with just a few light and scattered showers possible. We will have an Easterly breeze which gives similar temperatures to Sunday for those on the Eastern half of the county. If you can get out of the breeze, and for the rest of Kent it will be feeling warm with high's of 16/17°C. Much more Spring like.
Monday evening through into Tuesday morning and it's a return to heavy rain it seems with the approach of more fronts from the South spill their way North. A feature that will need monitoring but does give us a mild night with lows of 11°C.
So a nice rest with warmer temperatures which will be very welcome by many but a changeable theme to come. Looking further ahead through the week it does look to be quite messy. More details will follow as the week continues so stay tuned.

Good morning folks. Today is one of those days where dark clouds bubble up and look threatening but we should stay dry today even with those big scary clouds. A small risk of a shower creeping up the Western boarders with E. Sussex and Surrey.
It's also breezy and for those around the coasts feeling quite windy but as we progress through today those winds will eventually fall light. Where the sun does finish playing peek-a-boo behind the clouds it's going to be a nice day with highs of 14°C possible.
Cloud fills in during the evening and overnight with some light showers around East Kent during the second half of the night. Also turning misty across the county where we pick up a North Easterly flow. Not a cold night with lows of 8°C.
The start of the weekend and we continue the overcast theme across Kent with a few scattered showers still possible towards the East. Heading into the afternoon the breeze shall begin to pick up once again with rain starting to creep into the likes of Deal/Dover mid-late afternoon.
The arrival of the rain will peg back those temperatures by a few degrees so 10-11°C across much of the Eastern half of Kent but elsewhere 12-13°C.
Saturday evening through into Sunday morning and we're back to square one with regards to wind and rain. Turning windy for all with gales developing in the Channel. Coastal areas can be looking at wind speeds of 25-30mph and primarily the North Kent coast all the way along into the Thames Estuary looking to experience gusts once again of 45-50mph. Accompanying the windy conditions will be heavy rainfall from midnight onwards so a risk of localised flooding. Lows of 8°C.
Will be issuing a weather watch for strong gusts/heavy rain at some point later today to cover Saturday night into Sunday.
