I’m quite getting in to the swing of all this radio malarkey now, at least I think so, but that’s probably something you lot could answer better than I. First things first and my game today was full of some great tunes, I had a list if twenty and frankly would loved to have played nearly all of them, sadly I can’t do that as I like my job very much and don’t want to lose it just yet. It was songs with the word ‘dance’ in the title.
10. Let’s dance; Bowie
9. Private dancer; Tina Turner
8. Dancing Queen; ABBA
7. You look good on the dance floor; Arctic Monkeys
6. Dancing with tears in my eyes; Ultravox
5. I wana dance with somebody; Whitney
4. Dancing in the dark; The Boss
3. Dancing with myself; Billy Idol
2. You can dance if you want to; Men Without Hats
1. I don’t wana dance; Eddy Grant
It was time to play Duke-Box-Jury on the show today as we unveiled two brand spanking new, hot of the press songs for your listening pleasure, or not, that’s where you came in. All you had to do was simply say hit or miss to cast your vote. Fortunately, you liked both of the songs from The Script and JLS respectively. I have to say though, that JLS seemed more popular and I have to agree, reckon that is going to be a summer smash.
As I sit down writing this ‘blog’ it is exactly 1 day 21 hours and 50 minutes (roughly speaking) until I’m thrown from a plane. My hands are shaking that much, I can hardly type, so my apologies for the spelling mistakes and grammatical errors (mind you, there are normally a lot of them anyway, fear involved or not). It’s going to be an emotional day one way or another. But I do know this one thing, a pint of lager after touchdown is never ever going to taste so good!
Another part of the show today was you telling me what’s the strangest place you’ve ever woken up? I got some interesting feedback, some of it not printable and most of them drink related. But the funniest had to be Holly who went to see a concert Hyde Park with her ex. After a great day out and a few glasses of champagne with their picnic, they both dosed off. They woke in the morning to find that a circus ‘big-top’ had been erected around them. You can only imagine how much that freaked them out.
