A sunny start for many though cloud will affect the fringes of East Kent for the remainder of today where some showers can be expected later this afternoon, some turning wintry with sleet particularly over high ground. Feeling chilly in the Northerly wind with highs of 5°C.
For this evening and overnight those light wintry showers/sleet are likely to continue towards East Kent although drawing back into the North Sea. Elsewhere remains clear but cold with some mist/fog patches possible in West Kent. Coldest in the West too with lows of -1°C slightly higher temperatures the further East you are with lows of 2°C. A widespread frost.
For Tuesday it shall be a pretty similar day really with some cloud still hugging the Eastern coastlines though more in the way of sunshine then Monday. Elsewhere it's another clear and sunny day and much lighter winds. A dry day for all but feeling cold still with highs of 4-5°C.
Tuesday evening through into Wednesday sees light winds and clear skies being the perfect combination for fog to form, even freezing fog given overnight lows of -2/-3°C. Colder still in rural areas and widespread frost and ice.
