Extended Christmas forecast

Extended Christmas forecast

by Kent Weather Sunday, December 23 2012

With the Christmas period now around the corner this is an extended forecast to cover that all important period and also the only time of the year in which I'm on "vacation". So I thank you for all of your support over the year & wish yourselves and the ones closest to you a very merry Christmas and I shall next post on the 27th.

For Sunday we're still seeing the chance of some light rain or drizzle but overall a much better day and should remain mostly dry for many, even some brighter spells at times although with the exception of some Southern coastlines perhaps. Another mild day with highs of 12-13°C.

Sunday evening through into the start of Christmas eve shall be overcast with rain arriving after 9pm and clearing by the morning. Becoming windy with the risk of some gusts touching gale force for a time. Lows of 8°C.

For Christmas eve itself after a windy start it's likely to remain overcast with some light rain at times but not as bad as we have seen over recent days thankfully. Highs of 11°C but keeping a strong breeze.

The all important evening into Christmas day another spell of wet weather moves across the county from the South-West in a fresh breeze. Overnight lows of 7°C.

Christmas day: Overcast and windy. Rain on and off for much of the day. Highs of 9°C. Drier with lighter winds during the evening and overnight. Lows of 4-5°C.

Boxing day: A dry and bright day, some sunshine possible. Cloudier towards the evening as rain approaches. breezy, 8°C.

Wednesday evening into Thursday morning: Further rain (!) for a time though expected to clear after midnight. Breezy still with lows of 5°C.
