After a very active day yesterday today may seem quite mundane and boring although a much better day to be fair given the travel disruption and house fire from a lightning strike. A dry day also with a promising start so far. Plenty of clear, blue skies around currently with just a few clouds starting to appear.
As we continue through today it does turn cloudier but it shall remain dry at least until the evening so enjoy the sunshine while it does last with a light breeze. Highs of 19-21°C across the county with moderate levels of UV and pollen count.
This evening rain will move in and be with us for the night. Rain turning heavy during the middle of the night around the coasts in particular where it shall also turn windy. A strong breeze affecting the rest of the county but a milder night with lows of 13°C.
For Friday, the heaviest of the rain shall clear away leaving a largely cloudy day with showers on and off through the day. During the afternoon there is a signal for an area of heavy rain to move East around the London area which may affect North Kent but the exact position is open to question. An area that shall be monitored over the coming 24 hours. Highs of 18°C with winds falling light. Moderate levels of both UV and pollen once again.
Overnight Friday and into Saturday sees further heavy showers/rain likely to affect many parts of the county with light winds and lows of 13°C.
