Happy ‘Random Text Wednesday’ everyone, yes it’s the middle of the week yet again, funny how often it comes around. So we celebrate the fact with a whole hour of complete and utter ‘randomness’. Just for the uninitiated of you, basically I ask you to text or indeed phone your crazy quirky messages, it’s just a bit of fun madness. Here are just a couple of highlights for you, Ruth said ‘admit nothing, tell nobody’; Shane said ‘you can lead a horse to water but a pencil must be led’; Larry said’ a stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet’; Tina said ‘at a push a carrot, but forget about a cucumber’; Paul, yet again said ‘potato’ and Benno said ‘Gatwick Airport’.
The new ‘extracts from David Essex’s biography’ once again went down very well as we dipped our toe in the bath of his life.
We’re getting very excited here about next Friday’s ‘on air auction’ as we raise money for the ‘action for children’ charity. There are a load of fantastic items up for grabs at bargain prices. For more information, just pop on to our web site and it will explain what you could be getting your hands on.
Another 100 pounds was given away as lovely Joanne bagged herself the prize of blowing the dosh on loads of Christmas decorations and a brand spanking new tree.
So, after this I’m off to sell my brand new phone. Mow, no disrespect to the thing, it really is an all singing all dancing phone, fresh out on the market and apparently the best there is. I got it on contract, so it actually didn’t cost me a penny which is why I accepted it. But after having it for an hour, I knew it wasn’t for me. I suppose I should have realised, I’m too old. Too much technology just confuses the life out of me; I just need to text and call a person, that’s good enough for me. It would turn out that to own a ‘smart phone’, you actually need to be smart, DOH.
